I'm at Wisconsin Public Radio taking pledges all day. This is the steadiest I've ever seen it here. There's no time to talk to others or knit without losing my place. Insane! And very cool!

Largest pledge I've gotten so far: $380 (because he heard over the air that they needed $380 to make their hourly goal, so he decided he'd jump in and cover it all).

Add to which, most pledges are for $100 or over, and things are going quite well.

I did see Viscountess Astrid's post to the Northshield Hall. Lars defeated Geoffrey, so Northshield now has Prince Lars and Princess Mary. brionnfhionn, I'm sure you're quite busy right now, so if you see this, don't bother calling me with the information--I already have it.

Yay! Thanks for sharing the good news...

While I tend to tune out for pledge drives (I'm already signed up for a monthly donation), sometimes it's hard to tell if things are going well or poorly. I'd hope that the recent antics of the Assembly "Repugnicans" (which really fits this time) help make it clear they really do need the support.

Did you get to see Michael Feldman from "Whaddya Know?" Love that show.

No, his show broadcasts from Monona Terrace now...but I used to go to the show with my mom when I was in high school, and it broadcasted from Buck Studio on the 7th floor of the Communications building, which is now where they set up Pledge Central. It's kind of cool to come back to that studio to volunteer.

I didn't get to listen yesterday, but I was told that a certain venerable game show host very nearly lost the Quiz by ignoring Michael's "subtle" hinting. I sympathize. I lost the quiz at 17 because I completely ignored Michael's hints. *sigh*

Also, Michael's office is still next door to Buck Studio, but I've never seen him there. His door is decorated with all kinds of wacky stuff, though.
