Up too late, as usual [Aug. 31st, 2006|11:57 pm]
[mood |pleasedpleased]
[music |sound of my refrigerator running]

And slowly getting things done that I need to get done. I've done seven replies to Northshield website inquiries in the last two days. This is good for the Kingdom!

ingusmoen was wondering where I have been, not updating LJ or my main webpage. He is right--I've been remiss. This is your official on-the-fly update of what's been up with gflower.

Things I've gotten done recently:
--Bills paid
--Laundry done, at least enough to have garb for Autumn Rose this weekend
--Water aerobics class done for the season, yay (it was fun, but we were swimming in the dark last night)
--My report to Shava/Alys Katherine: written and sent
--Stuff for the Oct. Northwatch: written and sent
--Good phone interview at WI Historical Society last week. In-person interview coming up next week--wish me luck. Job: buying books! I can do that.
--Another plate painted, again 1500's Italian, to be picked up by sylversmoke tomorrow. Here's hoping it's been fired! I'd like to put it in the AR arts & sciences display.

I don't appear to have packed for Autumn Rose at all. Funny, that. I guess that will have to take place tomorrow afternoon after I get back from work/before I leave for the event.

Oh! And my three-piece bookcase set was put up by a very quiet young man named Riley this past Saturday. (Craigslist came through for me. I offered $50 and pizza; my ad was up for 45 minutes late on a Sunday night, and I had FOUR offers before I hastily took it down!) He did a lovely job and now I have more than enough space for ALL my books and tchotchkes. It totally changes the way my apartment looks/fits together. I am enjoying it immensely. However, no more new furniture for me, in the near future anyway. I don't have the $$ and I don't have room/need for it.

I will be updating my *real* webpage with Pennsic memories and other stuff sometime next week. In the meantime, if you'll be at Autumn Rose in Rokeclif (my former home), I'll see you there!

A job buying books for the historical society sounds like a dream! My mom, who ended up the children's librarian for the little Town Hall Library, says that buying all the new kids books that comes out is tremendous fun, especially because she often gets to read them first!
