ingusmoen, you must read this: http://beckmumble.livejournal.com/77382.html
Beckmumble is one of the denizens of the Bardic Barracks (Sivrid's lady) and currently has three kids under eight or so.
Oh yeah, guess what, as Bard of Northshield, you get to host the Northshield Bardic Circle at Pennsic. I suggest Monday night war week (it's worked well the past 2 years) unless something huge and NS-related is planned for that night; only way to find out is to coordinate with TRMs and TRHs and Lance. I would be happy to coordinate refreshments if you like, just say the word.
Yup, this is me, being too lazy to write an actual e-mail to a friend and using LJ instead!
Bard of Northshield, that already happened? Congrats Ingus!
Thanks! Yeah, the contest was at Ages of War.
If you want to run things at Pennsic altogether, Eliane, that'd be fine, too. I won't be making it this year like I'd hoped. *sigh*
Otherwise, I suppose I'll need to find someone else to keep the faith for us.
Thanks for delegating to me! I don't mind--I hosted it last year, there being no Bard of Northshield at the time. Someone has to. And it's fun to have a nice big bardic right there at "home". I'll contact Lance and TRMs after WW, which is usually about when the various kingdoms/traditional circle hosts are pinning down bardic circle plans.
Too bad you can't be there, though! Everyone will miss you.
Do you want me to coordinate songsheets too? I found my orange paper from a couple of years ago (it got lost in the last move, but has resurfaced).
No, that's okay. I'm putting together Court Songsheets ("Gerichtsliedplatten" auf Deutsch) and making them a little extra long for Pennsic should be no big thing.
I thought it would be a nice thing to offer and a good way to invest time if people need to be run for for court. Plus that way, people who come from Out-Kingdom and come to Court can get a sheet of Northshield Music to take back with them.
Very neat idea! Are you making up the songsheets for WW? If so, will there also be copies at the Bardic Circle? I know Sarra was wanting to have them available.
I still have a decent amount of Last Year's Pennsic songsheet which will be available at WW BC.
The Gerichtsliedplatten will be available at Court.
I suppose I should have the Pennsic stuff done then, too, so I can just pass it to you. Thank you for being a sweetheart and taking care of that. I wasn't sure who else was going who could set it all up. I'm still bummed about not being able to go, anyway.
